Something’s broke with our healthcare system.  In doing our taxes for 2012 I looked up our healthcare expenses and premiums, here’s what I found:

Premiums	$17,992.22 *
Expenses	$13,150.62 **
Total	$31,142.84

* That premium amount is what we paid out of pocket; it does not include what my employer put towards health care premium.
** This includes saving two of my daughters’ life in a hospital for ~3 or 4 days each and a couple root canals.
