Here’s the gun we just purchased!
We decided it was time to purchase a handgun before we actually may need it, or this Congress and Administration makes unconstitutional laws regarding them. It really is time to act now.

yay! Even though we didn’t find a good place, it was still fun to drive around all day in beautiful Colorado. :) Love you!
That rocks!!! Hope you find somewhere fun to practice! :-)
Sweet!! We had a SW 40 caliber something – big bullets is all I know & It will give you blisters from firing. Glad to see you didn’t waste your time with a 22 – I got to see some shells from one at the firing range when I went & they are tiny!! Couldn’t stop someone with an ounce of ambition, but they’re cute! What I didn’t know is that w/ the semi-auto (not sure if that’s the right terminology but, the ones that aren’t revolvers!) they’re more prone to misfire. The guy at the store told me that a revolver is THE most reliable – I didn’t like the way it looked (I know, dumb reason), so we got the 40. I may rethink on my next purchase though…I would really like a silver or gold one though ;-)
Great choice in guns, you won’t be sorry. I’ve owned one for a couple of years now and it looks great, feels great and shoots great.
Just bought the 8040 at Academy this week for $399. It felt so much tighter than the competition. After all I read about the unique design, straight blow back, rotating barrel, it had to be better than the sloppy Browning mechanism of my S&W. I was right, it is sooooooooo sweet. Let my daughter, 13 year old grandson and a new friend, (Ex Army infantry) shoot it. Put 100 rounds through it very quickly, just the cheap WWB 180 and 165 .40 S&W. The gun hardly kicks, much like a nine, rather than a .40. We all shot less than 3 inch groups at 10 yard line. The DA pull is a healthy 12 pounds, but very smooth and crisp. My first shot on DA was on 1 inch right and slighly high, the rest of the mag 10 shots peppered around the bull, rapid firing as soon as on target. Gets on target much faster with less muzzle lift than the competition.
As soon as I can afford it, I am going shopping for the 9mm, I hear is only kicks like a .380 and the price is right and cleaning a snap. Mine came with a metal guide rod, so this must be a new update from previous version.
My advice, Buy the 9mm so both you and your bride can enjoy it together!!
